My rants about steel aircraft hangars

Once your kit arrives and you have checked all the parts against your shipping invoice, lay the parts out in order of assembly and lay your concrete foundation. (Don't forget to grade and level your building area first!) You can lay concrete pads instead of a full foundation, if you prefer, so long as there is enough space to embed anchor bolts into the pads for the support columns. A large part of your prefabricated metal buildings project is completed once the foundation is set. It's now just a matter of raising the columns and rafters, bolting them into place and securing the metal sheeting for the walls. Frame your windows and doors when attaching the wall girts and prior to raising the wall sheeting.
